The arms race for athletes

Gov. Chris Christie in his town hall today called out a local sports legend, former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski.

Right in the heart of U.S. Rep. Jon Runyan territory and near the homebase of Democratic state Senate hopeful and former Olympian Carl Lewis, Christie name-dropped the playcaller, who was sitting ten feet behind him.

After cajoling the audience to write and call state Sen. President Steve Sweeney (D-3) to demand sick leave reform and permanent brakes on the gas tax, Christie said you can also just email: ‘Hello, this is Ron Jaworski.’
