Bucco Campaign rakes in $88K for home stretch against Chegs

Among Republican lawmakers running for re-election, state Sen. Anthony Bucco (R-25) raised the most money between May 6 and May 24, according to the state Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC).

Bucco is trying to fend off challenger Morris County Freeholder Director Bill Chegwidden, and to that end raised $88,465 in this last 18-day period.

Chegwidden told PolitickerNJ.com this week that he’s raised $48,000 for his challenge of Bucco and expects to spend $65,000 by the time it’s all over next Tuesday. Bucco raised $400,000 total.
