It looks like Gov. Chris Christie, who has so far refrained from performing a sack dance over the pension and benefits reforms set to be passed by the Assembly tonight, couldn’t hold out any longer.
In a phone call he made to the New York Times’ Matt Bai, the governor boasted about the achievement, calling today an “extraordinary day” for the state.
Christie called the legislation a model for governments across the state and said he had been fielding calls for two days from governors asking about the plan.
