Lieutenant Gov. Kim Guadagno will be swearing in the newest members of the Hoboken City Council on Friday.
Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer is a vocal Democratic backer of Republican Gov. Chris Christie, appearing today at her third bill signing for the governor’s toolkit initiatives. On Friday, Zimmer’s local allies who regained the council majority – and her opponents who find themselves in the minority, like Councilpersons Beth Mason and Michael Russo – will be sworn in by Christie’s second-in-command.
With a bar on every corner, it’s unclear what watering hole – if any – Guadagno and Zimmer will huddle up at after the ceremony. Zimmer is partial to Nag’s Head on First Street.
