Congresswoman Nita Lowey appears to be the first out of the gate (or the first in my inbox, at least) to issue a statement on the expected resignation of her colleague, Anthony Weiner.
“There is life after Congress for Anthony Weiner and I hope he devotes himself to repairing the damage he caused to his personal life,” Lowey said, in a one sentence statement.
No one is quite sure what life holds for Weiner after Congress, given that he’s been a legislator and aide for his entire professional life.
