No bedlam early as quiet crowd mobilizes against Dem leadership/Christie reforms

TRENTON – Hackensack Fire Department. Trenton Engine. North Hudson Fire and Rescue. New Jersey State PBA. Fire Department of Englewood. Act like real Democrats.

Christie plus Sweeney equals Walker.

Those were some of the signs and shirts on display on West State Street this morning where public workers rallied against health and benefits reform negotiated by Trenton leadership that would require workers to pay more and that defies collective bargaining.

“Stand up for unions and bargaining rights,” one sign announced as Bob Dylan blared in the background and no one made any speeches yet and the area in front of the Statehouse Annex and Statehouse filled with mostly blue shirts.
