Report: Christie contact with Fox News chairman not subject to OPRA

The online site Gawker is reporting that Gov. Chris Christie exercised executive privilege to keep from disclosing any correspondence concerning communications he had with Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes.

Gawker states it filed a request under the state Open Public Records Act regarding contact between the two after New York magazine reported last month that Christie and Ailes met last summer and that Ailes called Christie this year to urge him to run for president.

Gawker stated that the administration reported any records would be exempt from disclosure.
