Bloomberg Alum to Teneo [Update]

The company that hired away a spokesman for Mayor Bloomberg, Jason Post, will have Tony Blair and Bill Clinton serving on its advisory board.

Here’s the email Post is sending to friends and colleagues about his new gig at Teneo.

Update: A reader notes one of the company’s co-founders, Doug Band, is a longtime Clinton aide (and star of an infamous Clinton video).

Dear Friends and Colleagues –

After seven years in the Bloomberg Administration, four of those spent in the Mayor’s Press Office, I have left government for a new venture in the private sector.

Please find below a link to a story referencing the formation of our new company, Teneo Holdings, and the combination of our merchant banking (Teneo Capital) and strategy consulting (Teneo Strategy) platforms.

The company, which was founded by three partners:  Declan Kelly (former U.S. Special Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland, CEO of Financial Dynamics in the U.S., and EVP & CIO of FTI Consulting); Douglas Band (Counselor to President William Jefferson Clinton); and Paul Keary (former Senior Managing Director of FTI Consulting), combines the expertise of its merchant banking and strategy consulting platforms, along with a global network of trusted financial, corporate and political relationships to provide integrated advisory services, enabling clients to manage and organize their businesses, drive growth, build reputations, and protect brand value.

President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will both serve as advisors to the company and sit on the company’s advisory board.

Our company website is www.TeneoHoldings.com and our new headquarters is located at 601 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022.

Thank you for your ongoing confidence, support and friendship.

My new contact information is attached.

Thank you, Jason
