Late last year, Facebook bought, stripped, and shuttered the Web’s simplest file-sharing service, Drop.io. Happily, a couple of Danish entrepreneurs have been working on a worthy, RapidShare-killing replacement.
Ge.tt allows you to share documents, videos, photos, and audio files via a clean, intuitive interface that you don’t need to sign up to use. (Signing up does unlock Ge.tt’s stat reports, along with a few other extras.) Best of all, the free service offers instant (“real-time”) sharing—which is to say, the folks you’re sharing files with can begin downloading even before your upload is fully complete. Our only remaining question is, how long will it be before Facebook makes an offer?
