With the deadline to raise the debt ceiling fast approaching, talks between President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner have broken down.
But Peter King, the Long Island Republican and one of the leaders of the party in the House, said the move was unsurprising, and all part of the negotiating dance.
“I just think this is all part of the scenario that both sides are going through,” he told The Politicker. “I am not saying it’s contrived, but I don’t think it’s definite. I would not be surprised if they are back and talking again very soon.”
