Christine Quinn just wrapped up her third event in Queens, just one day after posting an impressive $1.32 million raised for her 2013 campaign.

Quinn said it was important for New York City residents to donate and participate in the local electoral process.

Republican City Councilman Dan Halloran, who joined Quinn in Queens to celebrate keeping the local firehouses open, called the Manhattan Democrat “very electable” in the outer boroughs.

The Community Board 11 Chairman Jerry Iannece, speaking from the podium, accidentally on purpose referred to the Speaker as “Mayor Quinn.”

In a brief interview, I asked Quinn about reviewing firehouse locations to better reflect shifts in residential populations.

Quinn said she would be open to that if it was a transparent and data-driven process.
