Top Malkin Exec Sells UES Brownstone for $4.5 M.

George S. Perry, the director of investments at Malkin Properties, has just sold his Upper East Side brownstone for $4.5 million, according to city records.

The 3,024-square-foot property at 342 East 69th Street, which Mr. Perry and wife Nicole bought in 2000 for a mere $1.4 million, has four floors, a garden and a terrace off the master bedroom. According to the Brown Harris Stevens listing, the home includes a refrigerated wine cellar with the capacity to hold 620 bottles; a living room with large bay windows with French doors; and a library painted a startling blood red. All the better for reading Dennis Lehaine novels.

The Perrys put their townhouse on the market with Corcoran in February of 2010 for $5.495  million. Last October, the couple switched to Abigail Lash of Brown Harris Stevens, who listed the property at $4.695 million (we have a call out to her). According to city documents, Los Angeles couple Johannes and Regis Worsoe purchased the property. Fortunately for the Worsoes, Ms. Lash writes that the brownstone’s “flexible layout allows for both casual and formal living.” Imagine the possibilities!
