Vanity Fair wasted no time capitalizing on Rupert Murdoch’s moment in the spotlight. VF writers like Sarah Ellison and Michael Wolff have long covered the News Corp. patriarch in the magazine’s pages, and now their stories have been re-purposed in an e-book called, “Rupert Murdoch: The Master Mogul of Fleet Street.”
It also includes a rare byline: the introduction is by editor in chief Graydon Carter. (Although all the press released offered from it was “it is Shakespearean in detail and scope, ” which sounds more like a blurb than an introduction.)
The magazine released a similar book about Elizabeth Taylor after her death in March. It is currently #18,820 in the Amazon Kindle Store.
