The event seems well-timed to contradict two quickly developing memes about the 2012 presidential race–that Jewish voters are abandoning the president and that young voters are as well.

Regular readers of this blog may notice a few familiar names on the invitation, including Jonathan Yedin, the Brooklyn political operative who was being considered for Anthony Weiner’s seat, Matt Cowherd, who co-founded the New Kings Democrats political club in Brooklyn, and Jesse Strauss, who ran for district leader in Brooklyn last year.
