This is one of the more impressive Hamptons estates we’ve seen all summer—especially if you’re into lots of wood paneling, giant mantles and soaring ceilings. This Amagansett home is appropriately named the “Windmill House“—not only does it have a bedroom with a ceiling made of angled wood in the shape of a windmill, it has an actual giant windmill in the backyard next to the pool. Did we mention it was inspired by an estate built for Marie Antoinette?
The very stately house is a sprawling 9,000 square feet, has seven bedrooms, and is asking $10.995 million. It’s near the beach and—get this—a saltwater pool. Isn’t that why you have the ocean down the street? Another pointless feature of the pool is its underwater speakers. Like you’d want to dunk your head in saltwater.
