TRENTON – The N.J. League of Municipalities expressed disappointment in the state Supreme Court ruling today that it is subject to the Open Public Records Act.

“The opinion reverses the unanimous opinions of the trial court and Appellate Division, and establishes that the League is a ‘public agency’ as defined by the Open Public Records Act,” said League senior legislative analyst Michael Cerra in a release.

“The League is currently reviewing the full impact of today’s court decision and its implications.

“However, although we are naturally disappointed with the result, the League always has been and will continue to be a transparent organization and will comply fully with the opinion.”
