On Monday, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone called on President Obama to visit flood-ravaged New Jersey to see for himself the ordeals that state residents have faced in the wake of Hurricane Irene.

No official word on the president’s intentions has been passed on, but an announcement from the White House this morning may signal where the Garden State stands on the food chain.

Several Obama Administration officials have been dispatched to states up and down the east coast that were affected by the storm.  While Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano visits North Carolina and Virginia and FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate heads to Vermont, New Jersey will play host to FEMA Deputy Administrator Rich Serino – after he makes a stop in Connecticut.
