Even with his foul mouth and hatred of the Simpsons, Frank Gehry is beloved the world over—even by kids who have never heard of parametric modeling.

Curbed spotted a story in the Post about Kyle Falls, who wore a tuxedo to the first day of school at brand-new P.S. 397, an elementary school located in the base of Mr. Gehry’s sumptuous 8 Spruce Street apartment tower.

“It’s a very special thing, the Frank Gehry building. It looks really cool, and I figured I should dress up,” said Kyle, whose family had been keeping an eye on the construction of the high-end tower.

His dad, Tom, said the tuxedo was a remnant of Kyle’s sixth-birthday party — a secret agent-themed blowout in honor of his son’s idol, James Bond.

Even the mayor was impressed, telling the budding architecture critic, “You look really fancy.”

Just don’t anybody tell poor Kyle the school isn’t designed by Frank Gehry, just the rentals above. Who knows what he might wear when he finds out.
