Bethany McLean and Geraldine Fabrikant are joining Reuters’s Extraordinary League of Columnists, a Reuters source confirms.
Ms. McLean, a Vanity Fair contributing editor and author of the Enron book, The Smartest Guys In The Room, will write a fortnightly column on “finance, both high and low,” according to a memo sent out by Jim Impoco.
A longtime Times business reporter, Ms. Fabrikant follows former colleague David Rohde to Reuters moneyed shores, where her weekly column “will put a human face on business, focusing on the bold-face names that behind who make the money world go round.”
Their hiring corrects the previously noted gender imbalance in editor Jim Ledbetter’s stable of columnists.
