TRENTON – Acting Gov. Kim Guadagno signed the bill today that pushes the presidential primary from February back to June.
S3777 restores the primary to where it was. Guadagno said it cost the state $12 million a year, money that could be better spent in these tough economic times.
Changing the date “didn’t have the impact we thought it would have,’’ she said. Twenty-three other states did the same thing, reducing any impact New Jersey’s change to February would have had, Guadagno said..
