Confronted with an apparent inconsistency about his vocal stand on the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) versus his silence on the Elizabeth Board of Education, Gov. Chris Christie punched back today at his press conference.
“Once it became a criminal matter I didn’t talk about it anymore,” said Christie, referring to the PVSC.
The word was Christie was shielding the Elizabeth Board of Ed (supporters of his in the 2009 gubernatorial election) from the same bully pulpit outrage he leveled at the PVSC.
State law enforcement authorities Monday arrested School Board President Marie Munn and two others allegedly for abusing the school lunch program.
“I found out that morning through news accounts that three people had been arrested,” Christie said.
