Maria Rodale announced yesterday that Karen Rinaldi, who left her job as publisher at Bloomsbury USA in 2008 to head Rodale’s book division, has now left the company, reports the Post. Gregg Michaelson, president of integrated sales and marketing, has also departed the company. Rodale publishes the magazines Men’s Health and Prevention as well as books such as Al Gore’s Earth in the Balance and The South Beach Diet series.

Ms. Rinaldi’s original move to Rodale from Bloomsbury USA, where she had worked for nine years, left many in publishing surprised. She was followed to Rodale by another Bloomsbury publisher, Colin Dickerman, who announced he was leaving the company this August for Penguin Press.
