As we reported Monday, half of Florence Swinsky’s art-filled (though perhaps not artful) duplex at 33 East 70th Street was sold to couple-about-town Kim Saperstein and Andrew Frankel. We know you were terribly concerned about the duplex being split up- the money! the effort! the renovations! the noise!
Yesterday, however, a second transaction came through showing that the couple indeed purchased the second half of the duplex. This time, however, Florence’s name wasn’t on the deed. The seller was listed as the estate of her late husband, Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Morton Swinsky.
So don’t worry. Ms. Saperstein and Mr. Frankel will have the duplex’s full eleven rooms to themselves, with all four bedrooms and 4.5 baths at their disposal. And they deserve it, paying the full $10.2 million asking price for the new pad, albeit in two installations.
