Thomas Houseago to Hauser & Wirth London

Figurative sculptor Thomas Houseago will now be reprsented by Hauser & Wirth in London, the gallery announced via email today. Mr. Houseago, who before now lacked representation in that city, is set to make his debut at the gallery with a show in fall 2011.

Gordon Veneklasen, managing partner of Michael Werner Gallery in New York, which represents Mr. Houseago in this city, says that his gallery will continue to do so here. Michael Werner has no London branch, and Mr. Veneklasen said he was entirely supportive of the Hauser & Wirth show.

“All of us who work with Thomas think it’s a great idea,” he told The Observer.

A representative for Hauser & Wirth was not immediately available for comment. Thomas Houseago to Hauser & Wirth London
