GOP state committee invests over 200K in five key legislative districts

The State Republican Committee to date has focused its 2011 legislative fundraising attention on Districts 2, 3, 7, 14 and 38, according to state Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) records.

Fighting in a competitive District 2 Senate contest, Challenger Assemblyman Vince Polistina (R-2) received around $52,850 from the state committee.

Fourteenth District GOP challenger Richard Kanka received $25,248.

In District 7, state Sen. Diane Allen and her running mates, Mount Laurel Mayor Jim Keenen and businessman Chris Halgas, received a total State Committee contribution of $55,035. Most of that money went directly to Keenan and Halgas. The Friends of Diane Allen gave the State Committee a $4,000 donation.

In LD 38, Bergen County Freeholder Chairman John Driscoll and his running mates received a $49,564 donation from the state committee.

And in District 3, the redistricted Assemblyman Dominick DiCicco received $18,127 toward his re-election bid. GOP state committee invests over 200K in five key legislative districts
