Michele Bachmann sent an error-filled fundraising email today casting herself as “the only real conservative” and imploring voters to open their wallets and give $4.00 donations to her campaign “to prevent 4 more years on [sic] Barack Obama.”

According to Ms. Bachmann, the country needs to stop being on top of the President because of his “job killing agenda” and “increasing the deficit to record numbers.”

“My campaign will not rely on or beholden to [sic] deep pocked [sic] millionaires and labor unions,” Ms. Bachmann wrote.

Ms. Bachmann explained that she’s focusing on single digit donations because she’s relying on average Americans for support rather than those pockmarked rich people.

“Why $4.00? Because with record deficits and millions of Americans unemployed, your first priority is paying your bills,” Ms. Bachmann wrote.

Ms. Bachmann’s email didn’t just take aim at President Obama, she also implied that her Republican rivals aren’t true conservatives.

“The future of our nation and its economy will be determined by the outcome of this election, and we cannot settle for ‘anybody but Obama.’ … We can’t settle for a candidate who isn’t a constitutional conservative. … We can’t settle for a candidate who doesn’t understand the problems that we have in the Middle East, who doesn’t understand the problems in Afghanistan and Pakistan,” Ms. Bachmann wrote.

Ms. Bachmann promised donors who send her at least $4.00 a bumper sticker featuring the slogans “support true conservative values,” “say no to 4 more” and the web address “TheOnlyRealConservative.com,” which directs to Ms. Bachmann’s campaign site.

In a postscript to her email, Ms. Bachmann told prospective donors that taking their money was her way of thanking them.

“Please make your donation of $4 or more so to prevent 4 more years on [sic] Barack Obama! It’s our small way of saying thank you for your tireless dedication to the conservative principles that make our nation great,” Ms. Bachmann wrote.

Ms. Bachmann has relied on small donors throughout her political career, which might explain why she hasn’t been able to hire a better editor.
