Jill Kraus—one of the top 200 art collectors in the world, along with her husband Peter, according to ARTnews—has a new title: chair of the board of the Public Art Fund.

The nonprofit group, which presents artworks throughout New York City, made the announcement yesterday, and also revealed that artist Rob Pruitt (who produced The Andy Monument earlier this year with the group), businesswoman and decorative arts specialist Linda Safran and Mickey Cartin, a board member at Printed Matter and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, have been added to the board.

“Jill Kraus brings a remarkable breadth of experience and expertise to this pivotal leadership role,” Public Art Fund director and chief curator Nicholas Baume said in a statement.

The Public Art Fund recently debuted a new work up at Doris C. Freedman Plaza (named for the organization’s founder), at the southeast corner of Central Park, by artist Michael Sailstorfer, and has a retrospective of sculptor Sol LeWitt on view at City Hall Park.
