NY Tech’s Next Top Models
If you had ever wondered aloud to urself that there could exist an event where one rockstar investor (Union Square Ventures’ Fred Wilson) was waltzing down the catwalk even as another rockstar founder (foursquare’s Dennis Crowley) was spinning out tunes at the DJ booth, then I believe your dreams are just about to come true. Many months in the making—Raise Cache—the lovely Rebecca Zhou’s brainchild, a one-of-a-kind tech fashion show and a benefit to raise some dough for the awesome hackNY is almost upon us. And this thursday, joining Fred on the runway, will be a veritable smorgasbord of NY Tech ce-web-rities including David Tisch (TechStars), Rachel Sklar (ChangeTheRatio), Brooke Moreland (Fashism), Nate Westheimer (NY Tech Meetup), Carter Cleveland (Art.sy), Christina Cacioppo (Union Sq Ventures), Katia Beauchamp (BirchBox) and many many more. And jostling competitively for action at the DJ booth along with Dennis will be Billy Chasen (turntable fm), Lauren Leto (bntr), Courtney Boyd Myers (The Next Web) and others. Now don’t panic. Tickets are still available (but not for long!) so go get urs pronto and get ready for what I like to call “A Big Ol’ Group Hug For The Amazing NY Tech Community.” 🙂
