The Divorce vertical has Nora Ephron, Huff/Post 50 has Rita Wilson, Business has the economist Simon Johnson, and, as of today, Huffington Post Gay Voices has Michelangelo Signorile, the Sirius XM radio host and author of Queer in America.

Mr. Signorile, 50,  gained notoriety in the ’80s and ’90s as co-founding editor of OutWeek, in which he routinely outed closeted gay public figures. Arianna Huffington told Politico that Mr. Signorile will serve as a bridge to the LGBT community for the site.

According to the press release, Mr. Signorile will “offer commentary and analysis, live-blog events, assist with assigning story coverage, and enlist a wide array of voices to contribute to the conversations of interest to the gay community and beyond.”

He has also held editor-at-large positions at The Advocate and Out magazine.
