Law on unopened medications held from hearing today

TRENTON – The Senate Health Committee has held from its hearing today S2987, which provides that unopened, unexpired prescription drugs dispensed to a patient within a licensed health care facility may be reused at the facility in accordance with regulations issued by the Commissioner of Health and Senior Services, after consultation with the New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy.

The bill is sponsored by Sen. Shirley Turner, (D-15), Mercer, and was held at her request.
