Must Read: Gloucester County special ed. teacher threatens and ridicules student

This is a must see video from ABC News showing teacher Steven Roth berating and threatening a special needs student in his class.

Roth becomes unhinged when student Julio Artuz asks him not to call him “special.”  Artuz shot the video with a cell phone. (For you conspiracy theorists, this was not shot by James O’Keefe.)

Roth has apparently been placed on paid administrative leave and the board has voted to take disciplinary action against him, though the district would not say what action it has taken.

According to state records Roth has 9 years of service and makes $53,347 for his stellar teaching abilities.  If this guy isn’t looking for work by tomorrow look for his case to become fodder in the battle over teacher tenure.

Roth did not return an email from PolitickerNJ and a phone listing for him in Sewell, N.J. has been disconnected.
