While fairs, parties and the beach jockeyed for attention during the week of Art Basel, a handful of the area’s galleries opened new shows. The Formalist Sidewalk Poetry Club offered up a Blake Rayne exhibition with just two paintings and a projection. Each piece read, “This is New York City.” That sounded about right.
The show is up through January 12, 2012.
