The past two nights have been wild successes (your inability to gain
admission notwithstanding), so why stop now? While the digi-kids may slowly
be taking over the world, good old-fashioned glossies still throw the best
parties (which may very well explain why they are a dying breed. Dom on the
company card, anyone?). Tonight, the revelry will continue with W magazine’s
holiday party at Hotel Americano. After sipping a few ciders, we’ll soon
find ourselves engaged in hot debate with Stefano Tonchi about the virtues
of seasonal houndstooth scarves. (We’re pro.) As a newly minted uptowner and
the proud father of newborn baby twins, Mr. Tonchi will likely be letting loose at the festive affair, possibly returning to his downtown predilections, dramatically unbuttoned shirt and all. (We love
top-of-the-masthead chest!) Again, good luck at the door; we’ll be waving
from the other side.
