And to proof his point the mayor cited a number of recent articles about the skills necessary for jobs in the future in The Atlantic, The Times and elsewhere, including a recent editorial in his own Bloomberg View.

“Bloomberg View had an editorial today on the State of the Union speech,” the mayor said, channeling the unsigned editorial, “They think he should have focused more on the real world is education and let’s not go bash China and try to have a trade war, that is not going to help us at all. That market is going to be bigger than our market. We need to sell stuff to China. We don’t need a trade war with China. They have been selling stuff to us.
