Vulture reports that actress Abigail Spencer let slip details of her involvement in a heretofore top-secret film directed by The Avengers helmer Joss Whedon, whose every move (including a recently announced other secret project, a remake of Much Ado About Nothing) tends to light up geeks’ circuit boards. Ms. Spencer’s film is to be “the most romantic film in the history of time[…] a supernatural romance,” per Ms. Spencer. (Sounds like familiar territory for the guy who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer!) The actress’s inside information pertaining to one of Hollywood’s highest-profile directors and his secret side projects provided Vulture occasion to report on Ms. Spencer’s own other upcoming film, based on a screenplay she wrote, and her role in James Franco’s Oz, the Great and Powerful.
