Trenton ready for arrival of Governor Christie for the State of the State as pols await 10% income tax reduction proposal

TRENTON – The Assembly chamber swelled with recognizable faces, including former governors Brendan Byrne, Donald DiFrancesco, Jim Florio and Jim McGreevey as the New Jersey political establishment anticipated the arrival of Gov. Chris Christie.

Byrne could be glimpsed in the lead-up chatting with state Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3), West Deptford.

Sources said in his State of the State speech the governor proposes to reduce income tax rates by 10% across the board, and to restore the earned income tax credit for the working poor.
