TRENTON – The bill that would allow out-of-state wineries and small wineries to ship directly to customers is undergoing amendments, sources told State Street Wire.
The number of outlets an applicant could have would be reduced from 18 to 15, and the shipping procedures for out-of-state wineries is being clarified, sources said.
The bill has been contentious with industry opponents citing job losses if this bill goes through, and supporters claiming it will be a huge boost for the state agriculture industry.
