We finally believe New York‘s claim that TED talks have reached their logical endpoint, with this new video of Guy Pearce’s character in the upcoming Alien prequel Prometheus delivering a fake TED talk in 2023. It’s about his plans to “change the world”–plans that presumably shall result in the events of the Alien franchise. “We are the gods now,” says the character–not that that’s so terribly different than the highfaluting self-back-patting that goes on yearly at TED.
