Noted epidemiologist Jenny McCarthy will head to television years after her career-making stint on Singled Out. The comedian signed with VH1 for a talk show sharing Ms. McCarthy’s own “take on pop culture” alongside “guest panelists and celebrity interviews.” No word as yet whether Ms. McCarthy’s show will be called Jenny Lately, but it’s a sign that Chelsea Handler’s work on E! is the current industry model.
Ms. McCarthy had previously been entangled with Oprah Winfrey’s struggling OWN network before dumping Ms. Winfrey–her then-mentor–and reportedly pursuing a show with NBC Universal.
