Jordan Roth, president of Jujamcyn Theaters and owner of the theater at which Clybourne Park is to be presented, has swooped in to the rescue to save the production. After Scott Rudin backed out of producing Clybourne in response to its playwright’s backing out of Mr. Rudin’s TV production of The Corrections, the onus was on Mr. Roth to fill in the budget shortfall in order for the Pulitzer-winning play to go on. Mr. Roth’s statement reads:
“It is a true privilege for all of us at Jujamcyn to bring such a fiercely provocative and wildly funny work to Broadway audiences. Clybourne Park is on. We’ll see you there!”
