Launch Education & Kids
There’s no denying that Edu+Tech is red hot in the startup world right now. In fact there’s an accelerator focused on this space launching soon in NYC. More details to come. Meanwhile my buddy Jason Calacanis (Mahalo, ThisWeekIn) is doing a spinoff of his Launch Conference next month called LAUNCH Education & Kids where, as the name implies, the focus will be on demos by 25 awesome companies (including 5 stealth startups) in the education space. In addition to the demos, the event will also be about sharing best practices. The event is in Mountain View but if your startup is in this space, it should definitely be on your radar.
Creative Week NYC
Next week (May 7 to 11) is Creative Week NYC 2012, an annual celebration of creativity in advertising, design, digital media and the arts that feed and touch those disciplines. Also part of Creative Week is The unConference, a faced-paced, free-form, highly interactive event to answer the prompt “What I Learned From…” Share ideas and explore opportunities emerging in today’s shifting media landscape.
And now, here’s where startup & tech peeps will be hanging out in the city this week…
