There was a glimmer of hope with Volkswagen’s “GIFaway,” a contest in which 50 additional pairs of tickets for each performance were given away to people who submitted the best animated GIFs of themselves doing whatever it is that people do in animated GIFs of themselves. That’s now over and still no tickets for Gallerist. Our only consolation is that you, dearest reader, like us, are probably also not seeing Kraftwerk.

But wait! Bowery Boogie reports you can see the winning GIFs from the GIFaway projected on a giant screen above the RETNA mural on Houston Street. That’s almost as good as Kraftwerk, right? No? Bah.
