As economists consider the possible implications of a Greek exit from the euro zone (or the “Grexit,” as the scenario has been described), in the face of its economic instability, one issue that has arisen is the problem of the interim period, before a new currency to be issued. Luckily, a few artists, ever prepared to handle economic debacles, have taken it upon themselves to offer some suggestions, and The Guardian has published their designs. A particular favorite is Jonathan Jones‘s nod to René Magritte’s The Treachery of Images (This is Not a Pipe).
