President Barack Obama is currently on stage giving a commencement speech at Barnard College. In his speech, the president reminisced about the year he graduated from Columbia College, 1983. President Obama noted that year was the first time Columbia admitted a coeducational class and that, at the time, “music was all about Michael and the moonwalk.”
“Do it!” one of the graduates in the audience shouted when the president mentioned Michael Jackson’s famous dance.
Though the crowd cheered for him to dance, President Obama declined to demonstrate his moonwalk technique.
“No moonwalk,” he said. “No moonwalking today.
