There have been plenty of hackathons happening in the city over the last year or so–photo hackathons, video hackathons, local hackathons, gov hackathons, you name it. Hackathons are awesome and really help spur creativity and enable the building of cool stuff. And, for folks who have full-time jobs but are intrigued by entrepreneurship, this is a good way to dip their toes into the startup pool. This week we have AngelHack, with hundreds of developers, four simultaneous, connected locations, $100,000 in prizes including $50,000 in angel funding, an amazing list of mentors, and much more. So go check it out.
