TRENTON – The nomination of former Attorney General Paula Dow to become a Superior Court judge is scheduled to be heard Thursday in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Dow, who went on to work for a time at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey after leaving the AG’s office, will be considered along with numerous other nominees to various judgeships and boards.
Originally, Dow had been tapped for an Essex post but the nomination was withdrawn and she is now up for a Burlington County judgeship.
An ongoing political dispute between Gov. Chris Christie and Democrats in Essex threatened to hold up Dow’s appointment. Her move to Burlington has led to Thursday’s nomination interview.
