We’ve been searching for the art angle on Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee for the past week or so, but thanks to Hauser & Wirth’s Twitter feed, it has finally arrived, albeit a bit late. It seems that Prince Charles, a k a the Prince of Wales, a k a the Duke of Rothesay, partied outside of Hauser & Wirth’s Piccadilly location during festivities honoring his mother’s 60 years on the throne earlier this week. The gallery has the photo to prove it, reproduced at left.

Thomas Struth did the official portrait of the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, for the event, which we present below.
