Art in America reports that the scholar and curator Andreas Blühm will take over the Groninger Museum in Binnenstad, the Netherlands, beginning in September.
Mr. Blühm succeeds Kees van Twist at the institution, which is nearly 120 years old and opened its current Philippe Starck-designed plant in 1994. Mr. van Twist resigned last year.
Since 2005 Mr. Blühm has served as the director of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Foundation Corboud in Cologne, Germany.
