Miss Diamond’s Twitter feed makes clear her affection for her father. One recent photograph shows Mr Diamond holding the FA cup with Chelsea captain John Terry.

She wrote: “I send my dad a picture of my chelsea celebration, he counters with this. You got this one, B.”

In another entry she wrote: “Begged my dad to take off his animal-print tie at Soho House. Now he’s talking bean soup with a man in a feathered fedora. Whatta town!”

Soho House is a private members’ club with branches in New York and London.

Ms. Diamond graduated from Princeton last year, lives in Manhattan and works for Deutsche Bank. Sadly, her Tweet has been deleted; happily, it lives on.
