Speculation about who will succeed Lauren Cornell as executive director of Rhizome, the New Museum’s digital-art organization, can now cease. Artforum has the news that Heather Corcoran, the deputy director of London’s Film and Video Umbrella, has been tapped for the position.

Ms. Cornell had served as director for seven years, and stepped down to co-curate the New Museum’s 2015 triennial with Ryan Trecartin.

Earlier this month, the blog Art Fag City reported that Ms. Corcoran had been selected for the job, though the New Museum denied a decision had been made.
